Get ready to kick-start your children’s novel

5-Day Challenge for writer's of children's and YA fiction

Are you ready to kick-start your writing?

Created by award-winning editor Imogen Cooper, the Kick-Start Your Children’s Novel 5-Day Challenge draws on Imogen’s decades of experience as a children’s book editor. At the end of the five days you will have constructed a framework for your children’s novel.

The challenge is designed for writers of all levels, from those who are just starting out, to published authors who are looking for inspiration and motivation to start writing their next book.

The challenge starts on 26th February.

What you will learn

Whether it’s starting your first children’s novel, providing you with a refresher on the basics of writing for children and YA, or giving you the friendly push you need to get going with your latest book, this 5-day Challenge will give you all the tools to get going with your children’s novel.

You will learn about

  • The big idea: the concept and the hook
  • The hero’s story: the goal, the hurdles, the stakes
  • The villain’s story: who are they, what they want, why they want it
  • Character goals
  • Learn about what agents and publishers are looking for

The daily facebook lives, writing tasks and feedback from Imogen Cooper and her team of industry editors, are based on Golden Egg Academy’s collective decades of experience in the children’s publishing industry.
