Simone is an ex-primary school teacher, and has worked in marketing, event planning, and administration for a number of arts organisations and publishers, including Firefly Press and the Arts and Education Network. She is also a screenwriter and children’s fiction writer, and completed the 12-month Writing For Children & Young Adults course with Golden Egg Academy in 2020. Since then, she’s written three early-reader chapter books for Serial Mash, a digital reading programme for schools, and is working on several middle-grade novels in progress. She lives in South East Wales.
