Imogen Cooper is an award-winning children’s book editor and the Founder of The Golden Egg Academy. Since starting Golden Egg from her kitchen table in 2014 Imogen has helped over 100 children’s writers to gain agents and publishing contracts, including James Nicol, M.G. Leonard, Serena Patel, Sabine Adeyinka, Simon James Green and Vashti Hardy.
Before Golden Egg, Imogen was Editorial Director at Chicken House Books and worked closely with MD Barry Cunningham, the first publisher of Harry Potter. Whilst there, Imogen acquired and edited Lucy Christopher’s bestselling novel STOLEN, for which she won the Branford Boase Award for her editorial input, Veronica Cossantelli’s THE EXTINCTS, soon to be a major animation, and the internationally successful MAZE RUNNER series by James Dashner. She was also editor on the INKHEART series by Cornelia Funke, among other notable projects.
