Manuscript Assessment Report
£480.00 – £880.00 inc VAT
A detailed report of your full manuscript containing an overview and comments on structure, narrative, plot and character development. Examples from the manuscript will be given to illustrate each point.
The report will also include recommendations for next steps. Manuscript assessment reports are only available to writers who have been accepted on to one of the Golden Egg Academy courses.
Payment is due once you receive your feedback or report.
N.B. If your manuscript is more than 1000 words over the Manuscript Assessment Report you have paid for you will be asked to pay for the next payment bracket e.g. you pay for a 30K Manuscript Assessment Report but you submit 3150 words you will be charged for a 40K Manuscript Assessment Report.

Mentoring

By invitation only. To be considered for Mentoring you must first be recommended by your editor. An Industry Editor will then complete a quick read of your full manuscript to assess whether it is ready for Mentoring. This is charged at the Industry Editor hourly rate (£65 p/h). Your editor will discuss with the GEA team who may be the best fit for your manuscript before booking in the assessment.
If accepted on to Mentoring, you will agree on a schedule of work with your Industry Editor. Your editor will discuss timescale and rates with you before undertaking any editorial. Mentoring is charged at the Industry Editor hourly rate (£65 p/h).
Payment is due once you receive your feedback or report.
N.B. Mentoring with Imogen Cooper, Founder/Director, is £80 p/h.
